  • 1984: Donald Trump was one of fifteen people listed in Vanity Fair’s second “Hall of Fame” feature. “Vanity Fair magazine has revived its famous Hall of Fame, last published in 1936, and in the December issue cites ‘fifteen men and women who amused, impressed or surprised us for more than their allotted fifteen minutes of fame.’ The list, with photographs by Annie Leibovitz, comprises playwright David Mamet, decorator Andree Putman, publisher Richard Snyder, producer Aaron Spelling, playwright/actor Sam Shepard, rock star Bruce Springsteen, real estate developer Donald Trump, writer Janet Malcolm, diver Greg Louganis, singer Cyndi Lauper, designer Karl Lagerfeld, actor Jeremy Irons, actress Daryl Hannah, hostess Pat Buckley and New York Gov.
