  • 2004: Jeff Zucker participated in a Friar’s Club roast of Donald Trump, joking about his history of failed marriages and his preference for significantly younger women. “Some credit should be paid to Donald J. Trump, who smiled and laughed along yesterday afternoon as he sat for two and a half hours in a ballroom of the New York Hilton, while a series of comics, celebrities and so-called friends absolutely savaged everything from his brushes with bankruptcy to his fiancee to, yes, his infamous comb-over. […] But even Jeff Zucker, president of the NBC Universal Television Group and the man who put ‘The Apprentice’ on the air, had a few jabs for one of his biggest stars. ‘Donald, I got the invitation for the wedding, but I can't make it,’ Mr. Zucker said. ‘But I'll catch the next one.’ Getting a big laugh, he continued, saying that the wedding would be great, with a cigar room for Mr. Trump's friends and ‘for Melania and her friends, a bouncy castle.’” (New York Times, October 16, 2004)
  • Zucker also joked that Trump was bald and egotistical. “The 2 1/2-hour banquet featured a dozen rude references to The Donald's comb-over excuse for hair and two dozen to his, er, anatomy. NBC head honcho Jeff Zucker made one of the only jokes we can repeat: ‘A lot of people come up to me and say, 'You're a lot like Donald Trump: You're powerful, you're rich, and you're bald.'’ Another notable: ‘God owns more real estate, but Donald has a bigger ego.’” (Philadelphia Inquirer, October 17, 2004)
