  • Katrina Campins, a real estate agent, was also a finalist on a season of Trump’s “The Apprentice.” “She's among the finalists waiting to hear Donald Trump say ‘You're hired!’ on his popular reality show, The Apprentice. […] Campins will talk about her career as a top-producing real estate agent - and, of course, about her experience on the TV show. Campins, as nearly everyone on the planet knows by now, is among the six finalists who are hoping to become a member of Team Trump. She's ‘a beautiful girl who says she's never been duped,’ Trump told Palm Beach Post TV critic Kevin Thompson last week. ‘And everybody's been duped.’” (Palm Beach Post, March 15, 2004)
  • Campins ultimately placed seventh on the show. “The Donald may have fired her from The Apprentice reality show but Katrina Campins is coming back to South Florida a winner. And not just in her real estate career - in which she already is one of the leading agents in the entire country. Campins is now looking at a potential book deal, a real estate talk show and endorsing razor and hair-care products - even cellphones - after the 24-year-old with flowing tresses and long legs became known as the ‘sex symbol’ of the show. […] She said she was cast as the show's sexy contestant who wasn't above flirting to close a deal. She ended up being set up - and fired - on the segment shown Thursday, she said, by her arch-enemy on the show, Amy Henry of Austin, who now is the only female of the six contestants remaining.” (Miami Herald, March 27, 2004)
  • Campins claimed she had negotiated a joint business project with Trump following her defeat on his television show. “‘You're fired.’ Famous last words? Not for Katrina Campins. The leggy, 24-year-old real-estate agent may have been sacked by Donald Trump, but The Apprentice was just a TV show. In the real world, Campins says, they're cooking up a deal. Shortly before the apprentices reassembled to help The Donald celebrate his 58th birthday two weekends ago at his Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, N.J., Katrina made a pitch in his Manhattan office. ‘You'll hear about it soon,’ Katrina said before speaking to the Boca Raton Real Estate Investment Club at the Boca Raton Marriott on Thursday. Campins wouldn't elaborate, except to say it would involve NBC. As if she didn't have enough on her highly polished plate.” (Palm Beach Post, June 16, 2004)
  • June, 2004: Campins was beaten up by a tow truck driver after her car was towed while visiting Trump’s Sonesta property in Sunny Islands, FL, where she and her fiancee were planning to hold their wedding. “Katrina Campins - the 24-year-old Miami native whose business acumen and leggy appeal featured prominently in the NBC reality megahit - and her fiance are accusing workers at Seay Towing in North Miami Beach of pummeling them after the couple tried to retrieve their car Sunday afternoon. Police were called out following the melee inside the Seay offices at 2151 NE 155th St. - but could not immediately unravel conflicting accounts. Campins and fiance Ben Moss said they were attacked. Donnie Seay, whose family owns the towing company, told police the telegenic couple started the trouble. […] The wind-up to the fray began about 2 p.m. Sunday, when Campins and Moss parked their Acura at the RK Shopping Center in Sunny Isles Beach. They went across the street to the Trump Sonesta - owned by the Apprentice honcho himself and the site of their upcoming nuptials - to take a quick tour. It wasn't until they returned to the shopping plaza and finished a quick lunch that Moss and Campins realized the car was missing.” (Miami Herald, June 30, 2004)
    • Local police ultimately arrested the two tow truck drivers who assaulted Campins and her fiancee, charging them with aggravated battery. “Two tow truck drivers were arrested Thursday after they are accused of beating up Katrina Campins, a contestant on The Apprentice, and her fiance last month. North Miami Beach police detectives have charged Donald Seay, 27, and his brother Daniel Seay, 24, with aggravated battery. […] Grossman, Campin's attorney, has already filed a civil suit against the towing company.” (Miami Herald, July 9, 2004)
